🎂 Birthday Blog 2025 – 42, Still Fine, and Finally Crossing That Border (Soon)
🏜 Kicking Off 2025: Desert Hustles & Plot Twists
January had me leaving Las Vegas behind and rolling into Arizona like the wandering queen I am. First stop? Quartzsite, the RV nomad capital of the world, where I hit a few nomad meetups and hustled out some of my Royal Armor products along with my handcrafted self-care boxes. (Still for sale)
From there, I slid into the Phoenix area, picked up Instawork gigs, and stacked enough to take a work camping job at Castle Dome Museum & Mines in Yuma. It was all good… until Mr. “I’m here to help” landed me in a repo mess with his car, which just so happened to be holding my stuff and my RV keys while I was out running errands. Let’s just say when I got my things back, I hit that dusty road faster than a tumbleweed during a wind storm.
🐶 First Housesit & Remote Job Grind
The universe threw me a bone (literally) in the form of my first TrustedHousesitters gig — three sweet dogs on a big RV lot where I could park and plug in my rig and enjoy the full amenities of my RV. I was there a month, interviewing for remote jobs and manifesting something steady… but nothing stuck.
By late April, I was back in Chandler (Phoenix area) and scored my second housesit — another three dogs (I see a theme), this time in an actual house with AC, a hot tub, pool, gourmet kitchen, and unlimited hot water shower
🌄 Sedona Shift & Dog Drama
When the heat got disrespectful, I headed to Sedona for cooler weather and part-time work. That’s when Dude’s old injury from Yuma came back to haunt us.
Back in Castle Dome, he’d had a scary back/hip injury I mentally filed under “we’re not talking about that.” But in Sedona, at higher altitude, it flared up. When I was clueless to what to do I contacted the Humane Society, which stepped in with a grant for vet care, and we learned it might be IVDD… though now I’m starting to doubt that.
The good news? Dude is doing amazing now. He’s back to barking like his old self (the only thing I don’t miss being back after that whole ordeal). I give him a pain pill only if he’s been running hard or playing rough with Daria, plus hemp oil a few times a week and daily hip/joint supplements. Basically, he’s living his best dog life again — and I can breathe easy.
🏢 Tucson Work Vibes & The Mexico Plan
While Dude recovered, I took an HR job at a healthcare facility, holding out for a remote job starting in July. When that came through, I rolled down to Tucson and into the only affordable RV park in AZ, working Saturdays in the office for a rent discount.
Now I’m working remotely for K12 as an enrollment agent except I found out during training that this gig can’t go with me to Mexico due to them sending me work equipment policy. So here I am, still in this desert heat, looking for a replacement remote job that can cross the border with me.
The plan:
Cross into Mexico mid-September via Nogales border
Start in Guaymas RV park
Explore Mazatlán & Puerto Vallarta for my new base
End RV life in Mexico, get an apartment for the rest of the year
Hunt for my next dream: a houseboat, sailboat, or land for Casa de Reinas
🧠 Mental Health, Neurospicy Life, and Staying Connected
This year has been a constant tug-of-war with my mental health. As I shed the “mask” I’ve been wearing for ADHD, autism, and other flavors of neuro-spicy life, I’ve had to face the reality that, althought i'm high fuctioning, my support needs are increasing and I need more support then I used to and i'm struggling without. Also, my object permanence problem, AKA if something (or someone) isn’t right in front of me, my brain literally forgets they exist in my day-to-day life.
So if you DON'T have this issue and you want to keep in touch with me, please reach out. I try my best to check in, but right now, I feel like a terrible auntie. Hey nieces and nephews, Add me to your call list. Text me. Call me. I’ll get back to you. If you haven’t heard from me, it’s not because I don’t love you, it’s because my brain hit the “out of sight, out of mind” button without my permission.
And when I move to Mexico? Don’t be a stranger. I’ll have a spot ready for you to visit. Bring your bathing suit and a good snack only found in the states.
💸 The Money Rollercoaster
This has been my most financially challenging year yet. April, May, and June had me leaning fully on friends and family for support — something that was hard for me to do. But the love I received reminded me that when people see you grinding toward your dreams, they’ll show up for you. That support kept me going, and I’m forever grateful. Thank you to those who were able to help.
👑 Content, Creativity, and What’s Next
Despite the chaos, I’ve been keeping my creative flow alive — Royal Vibe Sessions, vlogging, and my new Sovereign Sundays series. I'm excited to find a consistent flow so that I can grow. Royal Poo Co. is still in my heart, but I’m giving myself time to get my mind and money right before bringing it back.
Next steps:
Take a tax prep course to explore a potential new seasonal income option
Now that I have finally logged in and worked with Hotel Planner, I can use it as a commission-based backup gig
Work through my Mexico move checklist so I’m ready no matter what and then quit K12 and send back their equipment
✨ Final Word from the Birthday Queen
As of August 4th, I’m 42, Leo season in full blast, and manifesting everything I’ve been working toward. September is my transition month. My next blog update? I want it to be from Mexico, with sand between my toes and no desert heat in sight.
If you’ve been rooting for me, thank you. If you’ve been watching silently, I see you. If you’ve been thinking about calling me — do it. And if you want to support the move financially, my Cash App is $queentasha84.
